My new uniform 10

Yasuko

Little blue snake:
She is inspired by Kaoru Yokoo who is one of participated artist this show. Her main work is repairing for emotional garments which someone wears for longtime. Yasuko's son knitted a piece of woolen square and he provided this material to Kaoru's workshop at ATM. So Kaoru made this woolen snake as gratitude for him. Yasuko attached on the new uniform to borrow from her son.

Stripe blue shirts and blue stitch:
These two kinds of stripy shirts were her favorite garments. Moreover she had worn for many times when she comes to work at ATM. It has lots of memories into them. The stitch lines are also blue, and she mixed some different color of blue embroidery thread. This is back side of her uniform.
She tries to integrate "blue" elements into this uniform. She is inspired by the exhibition, "Another World" which was held at ATM in 1993. She remained the impression from the show that some participant artists represented the works using blue color.

Collaboration with family:
When she was wondering how could make a strong strap of this bag which can put into many things for work at the gallery, her grandma gave some idea and made this woolen strap for her. This write button was chosen by her son.

"I realized by this workshop, "If you try, you can do it". Now I would like to try the new way and ideas for making by hand with willingness and confident. It remains me of the fact that I love fashion by making my new uniform."  -Yasuko
