My new uniform 16

Naomi

Gift from exhibition:
This Japanese hand towel, Tenugui was a gift for the participant of stamp rally of the exhibition, "Communicable Action for Everybody" at ATM in 2008. (This was the third exhibition.) It was designed by costume artist, Kozue Hibino. This stamp rally was that visitor got a sheet with blank spaces for the original stamps, and found the stamp at 22 exhibition spaces in Mito city. And then collected three stamps of them, they got this tenugui. Naomi joined this rally with her colleague. Since then this is her favorite one, so she tried to use this for her new uniform.

The first blouse:
This pocket embroidered the first letter of Art Tower Mito was attached the first uniform blouse of ATM. It is so emotional garment for her, because she wore it when she was a new employee.
Ikuko also uses some button of this first blouse on her new uniform.

High school memory:
She loved to collect lots of ribbons to tie her hair when she was a high school student. And also she was very interested in handcraft material. It became the memorial sleeve for her teenage as attached these ribbons and the light blue fabric

Clutch bag:
She also got this Thai fabric from Yoko! and made this bag enough to put A4 size file. The strip fabric was a blouse that she got from her friend, but she had not a chance to wear it. She thought this time is great opportunity to use this garment for this workshop. The back side of this bag, she also attached the ribbons.

"I didn't have confident to participate on this workshop in the beginning. But Yukari said to me, "Tomorrow is your holiday, isn't it?". That was the great opportunity to start making my uniform. Once I have started to make this, I would like to continue to create it more and more. My feeling is also expanding like this exhibition."  -Naomi
