My new uniform 15

Yoshie

She represented her new uniform as her life, past, present and future.

Bottom is her past:
Before she became a guard of ATM, she had worked at ATM as a volunteer staff. The exhibition, "Communicable Action for Everybody" at ATM in 2002 is her first support project work as a volunteer, and especially strong impression for her was Noriki Tokuda's art work, "Smell of the Red". Lots of sliced red soap put on the gallery window, very thin soap though the sunshine and looked like a stained glass. She represented the slice red soap by cutting circle of a clear file.

Middle is her present:
She is inspired by BLESS, especially interested in the interactive sound curtain on this show. So she represented two details from the work on her uniform. One is the broach to put some memorial things, the buttons which collected from old clothes by her mother. This object made by not only herself but also her grandma and mother. And the other one, the pockets of bird form. It comes from the tweet of a bird from the installation work. She loves birds so much.

Above is her future:
She wished that would like to keep good relationship with her colleagues together in future. Kimiko, her senior face gave her the paper soap, because she knew that she was making so hard the bottom part of her uniform. Yoshie put it on her collar as respect of this great relationship.

"All the participants of this workshop are great. I can rethink that honestly I am happy to work here. Our work is keeping watch the works of artists, but this time we make our new uniform by ourselves as an art of work. I felt to closer to artists mind. I will make to use of that experience in my work."  -Yoshie
